Take Your Skating to the Next Level

About Coach Jack

Jack is the Head Coach of JT Powerskating and a lifelong skater from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. His competitive background reflects years of dedication, discipline, and high-level performance. Throughout his skating career, Jack earned major accomplishments including a 2022 U.S. Junior Ice Dance Invitational gold medal, two U.S. Ice Dance Final silver medals, and multiple selections to the U.S. Figure Skating National Developmental Team.

As a double U.S. Figure Skating gold medalist, Jack brings a deep technical foundation to the ice. His coaching focuses on helping hockey players develop strong, efficient, and confident skating skills. Athletes of all levels—ranging from first-time skaters to college prospects—benefit from his emphasis on clean edges, proper body alignment, controlled movement, and efficient stride mechanics.

Growing up in figure skating taught Jack early that skating success begins with fundamentals. Edges, balance, and alignment form the base of every advanced skill, and mastering those elements is essential for long-term development. That mindset drives his coaching today: no player is ever “too advanced” for foundational work, and even elite athletes improve fastest when those basics are sharpened consistently.

Jack takes pride in seeing hockey players elevate their edgework, speed, agility, and overall skating intelligence. Watching athletes develop—not only in technical skill, but also in confidence and presence on the ice—is what fuels his passion for coaching.
